PAY PER SHOT

3 camera positions are available:
Head on R100 ea
Downward angle R115 ea
Flat lay (from above) R120 ea
Surcharges:
If items are shiny or translucent + 50% per shot
If items are > 50cm on any side + 100% per shot
Grouped items (max 5) + 100% per shot
A minimum order of R2000 applies to all product shoots

PAY PER SESSION

3 hours in studio = R2500
6 hours in studio = R5000
4 hours on site = R6000
8 hours on site = R12000

HOW OUR PROCESS WORKS

These are the 8 steps we follow with our product photography model.

The first step in getting your shoot done is to complete our shoot request form on this page. We need to know what we are shooting (the nature of your product), how many items there are, what angles you need, where the shoot is going to happen (your place or ours) and when you’d like it to happen.

Submitting the right information on the form is very important. This is essentially a brief to us on what we will be doing for you and will form the basis for our shoot proposal (quote).

Once we have your request we will compile a comprehensive quote detailing all the shots you need. This will be in the form of a pro-forma invoice. From here you can either accept, amend or reject the quote. If you accept we move onto the next step.

On acceptance of the quote we will need you to deliver your products to us on a date that is suitable. We will check what is supplied against the proposal and confirm that everything is in order with your products and the options you ordered.

Once we have examined everything and we are all on the same page we will convert your quote into an invoice for you to pay.

Please note that we won’t start the shoot until your payment has been received.

On receipt of your payment we will confirm the shoot date and commence the job.

As we shoot we will upload to a cloud folder location that we will share with you on the day of the shoot. While the shoot is live it is important to review the images and make sure that you are happy with the angles we have chosen. We will be in constant contact with you via WhatsApp and advise you as new shots are uploaded.

We will advise you once all the shots taken are uploaded to the cloud. If you ordered on pay per shot basis those shots uploaded will be final edited, whereas on pay per session you will be able to select which shots you require final editing for. We will send an estimate for that work based on your requirements.

If you have delivered your items to us we will require you to collect them within 24 hours of the shoot being concluded as we don’t have storage facilities.

Common questions we get asked
Should I get Pay Per Shot or Pay Per Session?2024-11-05T14:59:21+02:00

Pay per shot is good for clients who may not have a lot of items to shoot and don’t want any surprises when it comes to the bill. You can choose from 3 different camera positions (head on, angled down, flat lay) and mix them up to get exactly what you need. You can’t use pay per shot on styled images or images where there are more than 5 related items in the frame.

Pay per session is designed for styled product shoots where we can experiment with different lighting setups and product arrangements. We can also do pack shots in a timed session, but there will be no editing included in what you pay for the session,

How many products can you photograph in a 1 hour shoot?2024-11-02T10:30:06+02:00

It depends on a number of things. Firstly, what type of product is it? How many angles of it do you need? Will you be on hand to help move items in and out of the set? What sort of editing do you need?

The most we have shot in one hour is around 100 products. All the angles were the same and there was no editing required. The client was also positioning the products in the frame while we did the technical stuff. This is why we offer time based sessions, if you have a lot of one type of thing, this is the most cost effective way of getting your images done.

Are your product photos accepted by Takealot?2024-11-05T15:02:16+02:00

Yes they are.

We have done many photo shoots for clients who sell on Takealot, so what we supply is fully compliant with their systems. This is typical for most other online selling platforms too, including Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce.

Can you come to my premises to photograph my products?2024-11-02T10:33:39+02:00

Yes we can. We have a mobile studio and you can hire us, along with the studio for either a full or half day shoot. See here for those options.

Do you offer lifestyle product photography?2024-04-22T16:45:44+02:00

We do offer this, but it requires some planning on both your part and ours. We need to understand exactly what you are looking to do so a strong brief is a requirement for these types of shoots. You will also have to recruit your own models if humans are required.
