On the weekend I will provide a lot of input on mirrorless cameras for those who are not familiar with them. Here’s what we’ll go over”
Introduction To Mirrorless Cameras (OM-D specific)
- differences between mirrorless and DSLR cameras
- ideal settings for the Olympus O-MD
- exploit the advantages of the O-MD
- overcome the few disadvantages of an OM-D
- exploring advanced features like Live Time, Live Composite, Multi-Exposures, wifi shooting, focus peaking
- in-camera image editing and fun with Art Filters
We will also spend some time on Saturday editing images using Photoshop Lightroom as well as discussing a few alternatives. Then, if we are not too tired from the day’s activities we might head out into the reserve again after dinner to indulge in some night photography, including star trails, painting with light and Milky Way photos.
The course is designed to be as flexible as possible and would be suitable for both beginner and experienced photographers. I will be on hand during the game drives and inbetween them to answer questions as well as to provide input on any of the gear we will be using.
What To Bring:
- memory cards
- laptop to edit your images on
- tripod (for star photography)
- your own camera if you don’t want to use one of the Olympus mirrorless cameras we have
- sense of humour (my trips are always fun!)
